From now on, in Kimple, you can import your text fonts and thus customise the graphic aspect of your game elements integrating a particular text. This new feature, called the font book, will allow you to import as many fonts as you want and apply them to your game elements directly in the customisation area.

In this article, we will explain how to import and manage your fonts during your various operations.

When you log in to the Kimple dashboard, you can access your fonts by clicking on your media library, which can be accessed at any time in the top menu bar:

You have two options:

  • Import your .ttf files directly into the platform.

This means that all game elements with text will be customised with the official font of your graphic charter. All you have to do is select the font in the configuration menu of each element.

By selecting to import your font as a .ttf file, you will be able to specify the title of the suggested font and once imported, the font will be displayed in the font book along with its title, layout and provenance from the platform.

Once your fonts have been correctly imported into the platform, you will be able to apply the font to a game element such as text, button or form at any time. All you have to do is select the name of your font from the list suggested in the element's configuration menu, seen below.

Please note that some fonts are not compatible with all browsers, so make sure your fonts are visible to everyone.

  • Use a Google Font

You can choose text fonts directly from https://www.google.com/fonts. Thus, by entering only the official title of the font suggested by Google, you will be able to import as many fonts as you wish, editing, of course, the original title of the targeted font if you wish.

Mention in Kimple, the official title of the font available on the website https://www.google.com/fonts (example below: Roboto) and the desired style.

The platform will instantly and automatically recognise the font in question and officially add it to your font book.

Your font is now available in your font book and will be applicable to all text elements in the game. (see explanation above) directly from the configuration menu of the targeted element.
