  1. Introduction to the Game

Hidden Object” is a fun game in which players must find all the objects hidden in a scene.

2. Game Pages

Click the “Create a Campaign” button to access our game catalog and select the Hidden Objects game.

You’ll first need to set the name of your campaign, the language, the publication dates, the description, and the time zone before you can access your game’s course.

In journey mode, you’ll see a predefined path with the following pages:

  • Single Page (Home)

  • Single Page (Form)

  • Hidden Object Game Page

  • Post-Participation Page

Of course, you can rename the page titles and change their order.

3. Game configuration

Using Kimple, you'll be able to customize the appearance of every element that makes up your hidden object. In your design area, you can edit the page. From the side menu on the right, you can access the various configuration steps.

In the game settings, you can set the number of points earned for each difference found, as well as the number of points lost for each difference missed.

You can activate the display of points on the game page and customize the appearance of this element.

Finally, you can set up a redirect either by page or by points and choose the redirect page when a participant reaches a certain number of points.

For point-based redirects, you can add a score range and choose the redirect page for each configured range.

Next, customize the elements of your game:

  • the background image containing the hidden objects

  • the markers indicating the objects that have been found

  • the markers indicating the objects that haven't been found

You can enable the object bar at the bottom of your background image. This bar is fully customizable.

If the same object is added multiple times, the number of occurrences will be displayed in the object bar, as shown in the example below.

=> Group together the identical objects to be found

Next, configure the hidden objects. To do this, open the settings window by clicking the button shown in the image.

Start by adding the images of the hidden objects before setting their positions. For each object you add, give it a name so you can easily identify it.

Place the areas corresponding to the locations of the objects to be found on the game's background image.

To add an area, select the object from the list on the left, then click on the desired location.

The desktop and mobile versions must be configured separately

4. Configuring Additional Elements: Timer and Score

In addition to the hidden object game, you can configure two other elements on the page: Timer and Score.

For the score, you can choose to display either the current score or the high score on the page.

Tip 💡You can easily insert two score elements to display the participant's best score and current score on the same page.

With the timer, you can set the game duration in minutes and/or seconds. There is an option that allows you to display the timer in seconds on the page if you have set the duration in minutes.

Finally, you can choose the timer's style whether you want to display it as a counter or a circular timer.

Best Practice 💡

Before going live, test all hidden object areas on desktop and mobile to ensure they are correctly positioned and sufficiently accessible on each device.
