Introduction to the Game
The Runner is a fun game in which players take on the role of an athlete in a hurdle race. The goal is to go as far as possible to achieve the highest score.
2. Game Pages
Click the “Create a Campaign” button to access our game catalog and select the Runner game.
First, you’ll need to set the name of your campaign, the language, the publication dates, the description, and the highlight before you can access your game’s course.
In journey mode, you’ll discover a predefined path with the following pages:
Single page (Home)
Single page (Form)
Runner page
Post-participation page
Of course, you can rename the page titles and change their order.
3. Game configuration
With Kimple, you'll be able to customize the appearance of every element that makes up your runner. In your design area, you can edit the game page. From the side menu on the right, you can access various configuration options.
The Runner game are simple: first, you can choose the difficulty level. The higher the difficulty, the more objects there will be.
Next, you'll be able to set the type of redirection either by page or by score when the game is over.
For redirection by score, you can add a score range and choose the redirection page for each configured range.
Finally, you can integrate the images to create your game’s visual style. Here are the recommended dimensions for each element:
Game background image: 600 × 450 px
Ground image: 600 × 50 px
Obstacle image: 30 × 50 px
Character — image 1 (standby position): 50 × 100 px
Character — image 2 (in motion): 50 × 100 px
The character will automatically be positioned at ground level, based on the configured floor graphic.
Depending on the size of your game, you can adjust the size of the graphics.
4. Configuring Additional Elements: Timer and Score
In addition to the runner game, you can configure two other elements on the page: Timer and Score.
For the score, you can choose to display either the current score or the high score on the page.
Tip 💡You can easily insert two score elements to display the participant's best score and current score on the same page.
With the timer, you can set the game duration in minutes and/or seconds. There is an option that allows you to display the timer in seconds on the page if you have set the duration in minutes.
Finally, you can choose the timer's style whether you want to display it as a counter or a circular timer.
