Introduction to the Game
The quiz is a question-and-answer game that will allow you to test your participants' knowledge.
2.Game Pages
Click the “Create a Campaign” button to access our game catalog and select the quiz game.
You’ll first need to set the name of your campaign, the language, the publication dates, and the time zone before you can access your game’s course.
In journey mode, you’ll see a predefined path with the following pages:
Single page (Home)
Single page (Form)
Quiz page
Post-participation page
Of course, you can rename the page titles and change their order.
💡Tip: When you create a “quiz” activity, a quiz page is automatically generated. However, if you want to add multiple quiz pages, you must create a new page and select “a single page” from the flow mode, then add a quiz element to it. You can also duplicate the existing quiz page and rename it in the page settings to more easily identify each page.
3.Game configuration
a) Setting Up Questions and Answers
With Kimple, you’ll be able to customize the appearance of every element in your quiz. Once you log in through the interface, you can edit the game page in your customization area. From the side menu on the right, you can access various configuration options.
To add the question as a text element, simply double-click the text to edit it.
⚠️ Important : When adding a question to a quiz, you must use the “Question Title” field, not the “Text” field. This ensures that the question appears correctly in exports and makes it easier to analyze the responses.
On the right-hand tab, you'll find the option to mark an answer as correct. In the same place, you can also customize the appearance of the answer and the checkbox.
In addition, when it comes to image-based responses, you can add visuals in the “Appearance” section. You can define up to three different visuals corresponding to the three states: normal, on hover, and on click.

b) General Quiz Settings
In the settings, you can choose whether to enable multiple-choice answers for your quiz, otherwise, participants will be able to select only one answer. You can then set the minimum and/or maximum number of answers to select.
We give you the option to customize the error message when no answers are selected.
Next, you can manage the number of points awarded per correct answer, per incorrect answer, and per second (only if the timer element is added to the page typically used for timed quizzes). You can set the type of redirection either by page or by points.
When you set up redirection based on points, you’ll be able to specify the score range and choose the page to which participants will be redirected.
Finally, during the customization step, select the format for your answers. Two options are available on Kimple.
The “text” format lets you set the background color, font, and font size for all answers. You can also customize the appearance of checkboxes in their normal and active states.
The “image” format lets you select images for the answers, with the option to display or hide a descriptive text alongside the images.
⚠️ Warning: For quizzes with image-based answers, it is essential to add descriptive text for each answer. This text ensures that the data is correctly included in the export.
Without descriptive text, no information regarding the answer selected by the participant will be available in the export.
If you do not want this text to appear on the page, you can disable the “descriptive text” option. The text will then be hidden from participants but will still be included in the exports.
💡Tip: You can create a quiz without a submit button. In this case, the participant is automatically taken to the next page as soon as they select an answer.
4. Setting Up a Timed Quiz
To create a timed quiz, you need to add a timer to all quiz pages.
You can configure the timer by setting the game duration in minutes and/or seconds. There’s also an option to display the remaining time in seconds on the page, even if the duration was set in minutes. Finally, you can choose how the timer is displayed: as a counter or a circle.
How the timed quiz works:
If the participant submits their answer by clicking the button before the timer runs out, the answer is recorded.
If the quiz is configured without a button, selecting an answer before the timer runs out will also save the data.
If the participant selects an answer before the timer runs out without clicking the button, the data is saved.
If no answer is selected by the end of the time limit, no data is saved.
5. Setting Up a Music Quiz
To create a music quiz, you need to add a “sound player” element to each quiz page.
The MP3 file must first be imported into the Kimple library. You can also customize the appearance of the playback bar and the audio play and pause buttons.
💡Best Practice : Before going live, run several thorough tests of the quiz: verify that the correct answers are validated, check that points are calculated correctly, test the final redirects, and ensure the timer and audio playback work properly if you’re using a music quiz. This helps prevent errors in production.
