1.Introduction to the game

The personality test is a type of game based on a questionnaire. It allows participants to discover their profile by answering a series of personalized questions. With Kimple, you can easily adapt the content of the questions and answers to suit your needs.

2. Pages of the course

Click on the “create an operation” button to access our game catalog and select the personality test game.

You will first need to define the name of your operation, the language, the publication dates, the description, and the highlight before you can access your game's course.

In course mode, you will discover a predefined path with pages:

  • Simple page (Home)

  • Simple page (Form)

  • Personality test game page

  • Post-participation page

Of course, you can rename the page titles and change their position.

When you create a “personality test” type operation, a quiz page is automatically generated. However, the simple page, which corresponds to the profile page, is not added automatically.

To add a new page, select “a simple page” from the course mode and add it to your game course.

💡Tip: For your personality test to work properly, you need to create as many profile pages (single pages) as you have possible answers for each question. In other words, if each question has 4 possible answers, you will need to create 4 profile pages corresponding to each of the possible results.

3. Configuring the game

A) Configuring the question and answers.

With Kimple, you can graphically customize all the elements that make up your personality test. By logging in from the interface, in your customization area, you can edit the game page. From the side menu on the right, you can access different configuration phases.

To add a question, it will appear as a text element. Simply double-click on it to edit its content.

To add answers to your question, simply click on the “+” button. Once the answer has been added, select it to edit its text. From the modal on the right, you can also select the profile page to associate with this answer.

B) General settings for the personality test

In the personality test settings, you can choose to enable multiple-choice answers. If this option is not enabled, participants will only be able to select one answer. You can also set a minimum and/or maximum number of answers that participants must select.

You can define the type of redirection, either by page or by profile (personality). It is also possible to customize the error message that appears if the participant does not select an answer. Next, you can adjust the appearance of your test and choose the format of the answers: text or image.

💡Tip: When the “image” format is selected for responses, the text format response can be hidden.

We recommend filling in the text response even when it is hidden, so that it can appear in the data export.

C) Adding personalities

To add personalities (profiles) to your mechanic, start by clicking on the responses to edit them. A cogwheel icon will appear. Click on this wheel to access the personality settings.

From this space, you can add new personalities, rename them according to the desired profiles, and associate each one with a specific profile page. This page, which is a “simple page,” must be created in advance, as it will be used to display the final result corresponding to the participant's personality.

Once the personalities have been created, you must link each answer to one of them. This allows the platform to count the participant's choices and display the profile page corresponding to the majority of their answers. This step is essential for the test to work properly and display a personalized result at the end of the journey.

D) Setting up the "personality" redirect

For the personality test to work properly, it is important to add a “personality” redirect at the end of the quiz. The quiz pages (e.g., Question 1, Question 2, and Question 3) are used to ask players questions.

Then, the Personality results pages (such as Red Personality, Blue Personality, Green Personality) display the final profile.

After the last quiz page, you must therefore configure the “personality” redirect. This step is mandatory: it allows you to analyze the answers and automatically send each player to the correct profile. Once in place, the journey becomes simple and smooth:

Quiz (Q1 → Q2 → Q3) → Redirection to “personality” → Profile page (Red, Blue, Green).

💡Best practice: Before finalizing your personality test, remember to preview your operation to verify that each answer is correctly associated with a personality, that all profile pages are properly linked, and that the overall appearance of the quiz is consistent. This will allow you to correct any errors and ensure a smooth and engaging experience for your participants.
