Selecting the type of distribution
The “prizes” tab allows you to configure the prizes to be won when the promotion is online. To do this, you must activate the feature.
Two types of distribution are available:
Instant win: participants find out the result instantly.
Random draw: winners are drawn at random at the end of the game (feature coming soon).
Depending on your distribution method for the settings options, you will be given suggestions
2. Setting up the winning moment
Options related to the winning moment:
Distribution priority allows you to prioritize the distribution of prizes either by date (the closest will be prioritized) or by quantity (the smallest will be prioritized) Distribution by date will be set by default. Simply change the priority type if you want distribution by quantity.
Limit to one win per participant throughout the duration of the game.
Restrict the distribution of prizes according to participant data.
➝ Option to set a specific time of day for distribution.
💡Timestamps for gifts will be generated based on the defined period, but only if this option is enabled before they are created. If timestamps were generated before this option was enabled, they will not take this restriction into account. However, gifts will not be delivered outside the defined period.
➝ Limit wins by IP address
➝ Option to exclude participants considered suspicious
3. Setting up the prize draw (COMING SOON)
Options related to the draw:
Participant position applies deduplication based on either the IP address or the postal address
Participant behavior allows you to exclude participants considered suspicious
4. Configuring prizes
Once you have selected the distribution type, you can add the prizes.
First, click on the “Add” button.
You have two options: either configure the prizes manually or import a CSV file.
A) Manually adding prizes
When you manually add prizes, a pop-up window will open where you will need to enter the following general information:
Prize name
Prize description
Prize URL (important if the prize redirects the participant to an external link)
Image of the prize
Option to enable the prize to be put back into play after it has been distributed
Next, you must define the amount and distribution of the winnings.
There are two configurable amount suggestions:
Unlimited: no limitation, the prize pool will be distributed over the defined period
Custom: allows you to define a specific amount.
From the custom distribution mode, it is now possible to activate a systematic bonus that will distribute the prize up to a participation threshold depending on the period. This limit is equivalent to the defined prize amount and ignores the distribution priority. (This option does not apply to prize configured under the daily distribution mode).
For custom and unlimited quantities, you must select the distribution mode:
Period - Set a period between two dates to perform the distribution. With this distribution mode, timestamps are generated randomly throughout the period. This means that the quantity of allocations is not equal and varies from day to day.
Day(s) - Choose one or more specific days for distribution (example: for a week-long game, you can choose to distribute the allocation only on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Timestamps are generated fairly. This means that the allocation amount is distributed equally across the distribution days.
It is possible to activate the closed instant win feature on prizes, meaning that the prize(s) will not be put back into play if they have not been distributed within the specified period.
💡You can configure distribution conditions based on the form on your gifts.
We recommend that you name your fields clearly so that you can select them more easily when setting conditions.
See the article How to design your form here.
B) Add prizes via a CSV file
To facilitate the import of a large number of prizes, we provide you with a CSV file (attached) containing:
In this document, we ask you to fill in the following information:
Prize title
Prize description
Distribution type (1= Instant win and 2=Random draw)
Quantity type (1= Unlimited quantity and 2=Limited quantity)
Quantity
Re-entry (0 = if you do not wish to activate or 1 = if you wish to activate)
Distribution mode (2 = Period between two dates and 3 = Defined days)
Distribution start date (this applies to the distribution mode by period)
Distribution end date (this applies to the distribution mode by period)
Distribution days (1=Monday, 2=Tuesday, 3=Wednesday, 4=Thursday, 5=Friday, 6=Saturday, 7=Sunday. If you want to select several days, such as Monday and Wednesday, you must enter 1,3)
Systematic bonus (0 = if you do not want to activate or 1 = if you want to activate) only on an allocation containing a distribution period
Closed prize (0 = if you do not want to activate or 1 = if you want to activate)
URL of the prize image
URL of the prize (if you need to redirect the participant to an external link)
📢 The order of the columns in the file is important. If you do not have any information to enter, you can leave the column(s) blank. The file must contain the first 5 columns for the allocation import to work. The other columns are not mandatory. Prize conditions and prize codes can be imported at the same time.
💡A prize may contain several prize codes. In the import file, the codes must be separated by commas. Example: test1,test2,test3,test4
💡You can add “advanced options” to your allocation import file,
such as prize conditions
amount = quantity of conditions
Field = The hash_id of the field concerned
Operator = is equal to (the field must be equal to a value)
Value = Value
Example:
amount: 2
field: 9vhg
Operator: =
Value: Paris
Once the file is complete, import it into the library. Click on the selector provided and add your CSV file.
5.How to add prize codes ?
If you need to associate unique grant codes, you must import the codes from a CSV file.
Once the import is complete, you will see a preview of the imported codes and can make any changes.
When the operation is underway, you will be able to view the distributed codes.
📢 Unlimited and limited giveaways may contain giveaway codes. When all codes in the giveaway have been distributed, the giveaway will pause if it is an unlimited giveaway or if the giveaway contains more items than codes.
💡You can display the gift code on the winning page. To do this, simply add the gift code element to the winning page(s) or insert a {{ gift.code }} variable into a text element to display the code.
6. Prize distribution dates
When configuring prizes, you will be able to see the distribution dates for the prizes.
To generate the dates, simply click on the button provided in the dedicated tab. Once generated, the prizes will have a “ready” status. In this status, you will not be able to change the quantity, but the other values can be modified. However, you can delete prizes when the game is in Draft status.
📢 If you forget to generate distribution dates before going live, they will be generated automatically. Please note: if you add new prizes during distribution, you will need to generate timestamps and then put them into distribution so that they can be delivered.
On the distribution dates table, you will find the scheduled date and time for distribution. You can search using the search engine provided.
In addition, you can export the list of winning moments in CSV format.
📢 If you want to change the distribution dates when the game goes live, you will need to pause distribution.
During the pause, you can change the title, description, and date and time.
Please note that you cannot delete prizes; you can only pause their distribution when the game goes live.
7. How to associate the prize(s) with the page
Once your prizes have been configured, you will need to return to the design section to associate the prize(s) with the winning page(s).
On each winning page, you can activate the association of existing and future prizes or select the prize(s) to link to the page.
💡Tip: You can add multiple pages you've earned to your game path if you have different content for each prize.
