Our “mini site” tool makes it easy to link your personalized domain name to your Kimple operation, without the need for an existing website or hosting space of any kind. We take care of hosting your game and providing a free SSL/TLS certificate.
It can be accessed from the Mini-sites area
SUMMARY :
Step 1: Buying a domain name
Step 2: CNAME registration
Step 3: Web redirect registration
Step 4: Integration on Kimple
Step 1: Buying a domain name
You need to purchase a domain name from the service provider of your choice (France has a wide choice of hosting companies such as Gandi, OVH, Scaleway, Hostinger, etc.).
A domain name is the Internet address of your site. It is unique.
Step 2: CNAME registration
Once you've made your purchase, you need to go to the “DNS Registration” section (DNS “Domain Name System” is a service that translates a domain name into IP addresses or other records) and add a new CNAME record (used to point a sub-domain to another website) for the sub-domain of your choice, usually “www”.
Procedure for registration :
Type : CNAME
TTL (Time to Live): 60 seconds
Name : www
Host name : ssl-v2.kx1.co. Be sure to include the dot after .co
This host name will be your domain's point of entry to our infrastructure, and will enable you to benefit automatically from a free SSL/TLS certificate (Let's Encrypt, certificate valid for 90 days and auto-renewed) to ensure a secure connection between participants' browsers and our game servers.
Please note that the propagation of this CNAME record may take up to 24 hours to be available everywhere.

Step 3 : Register web redirections
You need to redirect your participants trying to access the root of your domain (yourdomain.fr) to the sub-domain set up in Kimple (www.yourdomaine.fr).
To do this, you'll need to use your domain provider's web redirection feature.
Procedure for web registration :
Address : http:// & https:// + blank space + domainname.fr
Redirection address : https://www.nomdedomaine.fr
Redirection type : Permanent (Permanent redirection or 301 redirection forces your browser to present content from a web address)
We strongly recommend permanent redirection.
Visitors entering the following address in their browser's address bar: https://nomdedomaine.fr will be redirected to https://www.nomdedomaine.fr.
Gandi example :
📢 Note : with some providers, this redirection will require an SSL certificate, which is often also free of charge. (e.g. Gandi)
Step 4 : Integration on Kimple
Once you've purchased your domain name and set up your redirects with your service provider. You'll need to go to the “Mini site” area on the Kimple platform.
Then select the hosting type - “Domain name without hosting”.
In the “Domains” section, add your full domain name with the www and select the operation(s) associated with the domain name before registering.
Make sure you only enter a complete domain (i.e. no end /, no http/https), otherwise Kimple won't be able to verify it.
Then click on the “Verify” button to check the domain name configuration.
If the procedure has been followed correctly, the domain's status will change to verified.
Otherwise, an error message will be displayed if a step is missing.
(Note that in the error message, you'll see website.kx1.co. This host does not allow free SSL certificates. We therefore invite you to systematically configure your domains with the host name ssl-v2.kx1.co).
Finally, the activation button for your mini site will be available if all your mini site configuration is correct.
📢 If you wish to install your own SSL certificate instead of the one supplied free of charge, this must be invoiced in advance, and you will need to contact the technical team to determine whether this is possible.
